Pearl Features Fantastic Water Views of Wellfleet Harbor, Cape Cod

Within just a few years, Pearl in Wellfleet Harbor has become one of Cape Cod’s favorite spots for waterfront dining and cocktails. Pearl is a ground up renovation of the former Captain Higgins restaurant. The designers used the original framework of the Higgins building.
Part of which once was the famous Wellfleet Spit and Chatter Club. In conjunction with re-purposed materials from multiple historic Cape area deconstruction projects, the result is a completely new restaurant design, with traditional Cape Cod charm and style.

One of Pearl’s nicest new design features is it’s series of decks. Two deck areas, one along Commercial St., and the other parallel to Kendrick Ave., are on the second story level, and offer wide open outdoor dining with amazing views.
The third deck is a convertible area that abuts the serene Marshland. This area directly behind Pearl can be fully enclosed and heated or opened up to a screen porch, and currently hosts our Fresh Music – Live Seafood Happy Hours Thurs-Sun 3-5pm.

The views at Pearl are some of the finest unrestricted waterfront dining views in all of Cape Cod. There are nearly 360 degree views of the entire Wellfleet Harbor area. You can look over the Marshland, and back up Commercial St towards the hillside where the town of Wellfleet sits.
The entire Harbor is in right in front of you, including the main boat dock, the town pier, Mayo Beach, and Great Island. Always something catching your eye boats of all types and sizes, fishing of even more types and sizes, kite boarding, kayaking, sun setting and more.

Inside, Pearl offers expansive dining areas for lunch and dinner. Many large windows allow not only excellent views, but allow the ocean breeze to cool diners on hot Summer days. Spacious and modern, but with a healthy serving of old time Cape Cod
From the numerous uses of antique and vintage lumber and materials, to the eye catching horseshoe crab and school o’ fish metal work of local steel sculptor Steve Swain, your dinner inside Pearl will be a memorable one.

Pearl’s bar area is a great place to relax and have a cold drink. The structure of the bar is built largely from antique and vintage re-purposed wood. The windows behind the bar have been modified.
They can be swung up and out to convert an indoor bar area into an outdoor one. In addition to being great looking, our bar is fully stocked with a great selection of beers, wines, cocktails, and martinis.

The kitchen is the center of the action at Pearl. Another innovative design feature utilizes the original steeply peeked roof of the original building (The Spit and Chatter then Captain Higgins).
It is now exposed and vaulted over our open air, state of the art kitchen. The hanging metal lights, checkerboard tiles, and colorful lighting make Pearl’s kitchen a beautiful place to cook great food.

Well before opening, and even prior to beginning construction, Pearl committed to bringing the freshest dining experience possible to our customers.
Our Oysters are cultivated and farmed right across the street here in Wellfleet, and all of our our fish, meat, and produce is locally produced or grown whenever possible.

Wellfleet Harbor is a very picturesque area that is also rich in history. There is as much to do as there is to see. A great place to go when you are enjoying vacation fun on Cape Cod. Within steps of Pearl you can visit the Town Marina and the beautiful Mayo Beach area.
Wellfleet Harbor is well known for it’s art community. Within a few minutes you can visit The Frying Pan Gallery and the famous W.H.A.T. Theater. A short walk will bring you to many other fine art galleries as well. Pearl is proud to be a part of this great Cape Cod community.
